| Little Eden is situated in the thickly forested and mountainous Mae Hong Son Province (Northwest Thailand). The Mae Hong Son Province borders Burma on two sides and has some of the most beautiful natural scenery in Thailand. There you will find huge limestone caves, spectacular waterfalls and an incredible mosaic of ethnic groups. | |||||||

Little Eden is located in the Shan village Pangmapa (Soppong), at the bank of the Nam Lang River. Pangmapa is a trading and market centre for the many hilltribe villages in the surrounding area. The population is about 40% Burmese Shan, 40% hilltribe (mostly Lisu, Lahu and Karen), and 20% Thai. In Pangmapha there is a market, a supermarket, a small pharmacy, a hospital, a car repair shop and a gas filling station (closing at 18.00 o´clock). Access to Internet is available at the Post Office. In Pangmapa there are no banks, ATMs or money changers. |
